In our School we have "Elective discipline" where two disciplines of different areas are worked.

One of them with the Theme "Revealing Ideas to change the World", with the subjects Biology and Art (where students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd High School years) had the opportunity to perform a field work in the Santo André Sanitary Landfill, to Experience how the soil is prepared to receive the waste and also know the slurry pool and the recycling cooperative.

Our students were delighted with the Sanitary Landfill because they imagined an unpleasant place but when they saw that it was organized, with people who work to support their families with the waste that we produce on a daily basis, they reflected on the concern to reduce the consumption of Reduce the amount of waste.

At the School they had the initiative to prepare boxes to collect papers in each classroom for proper disposal which was a success the result, because the students adhere to the idea.
